Barefoot Lawn Bowls
After the inaugural Barefoot Bowls Day at the Club in 2007 the event has grown to become an all-time family favourite. The idea is a simple one and has had great implications for the future of bowls - encouraging people between the ages of 14 and 55 to join in a relaxing couple of hours of fun and competition.
The club is attracting younger bowlers to join the stalwarts on the greens. We are finding a lot of clubs holding these special events to attract younger players to pick up the sport of bowling. We just want everyone to have fun, so the barefoot bowls idea has been a great success.
The event is held on the last Sunday of every month at the club between 1pm to 4pm. coinciding with the Band on the Balcony.
The $10 cover charge includes the use of bowls, tuition and entertainment.
